Dog poo - pick it up and bin it!

The ubiquitous 'dog poo' is a common grievance among countryside access workers and visitors alike. It's an issue visited in several of our podcasts, from landowners concerned about crop contamination and disease spread, through access officers fielding complaints and those dog walkers who are alert to where their dog is, what it's doing, and picking up after it.

Importantly, it's not just bagging it, it's carrying it to a bin, not leaving the bag to be even more contamination in the countryside. Those allegedly 'biodegradeable' poo bags can take a century to break down and still cause pollution and possible animal deaths in the process.

It's visited as an excellent universal message by our podcast presenter, Gemma Clinch, in conversation on BBC Radio Solent, links to the message on BBC Hampshire's social media.
