Regional Development (half) Day at Birketts LLP, 22 Station Road, Cambridge, CB1 2JD

NB there is no parking at the venue. Parking nearby at the station, Queen Anne Terrace at Parkers Piece, or NCP on Hills Road or park and ride. It is however near the train station.

Regional events are an opportunity to network with colleagues, discuss issues and to share practice and experience, this is not a training course so please be prepared to bring your own examples to contribute and raise your own points for discussion.

Camilla Rhodes leads the session exploring practical tips for rights of way professionals involved in major infrastructure schemes.

Arrival 9.15am onwards tea, coffee and pastries.

9:30 – Welcome and introductions

9:35 – Agenda and ice-breaker; Quick review of Session 1 and Updated Projects map

9:45 – Pre-Application stage: How PROWs are treated in EIAs

10:00 – Protecting PRoW and connectivity during construction phase (including planning conditions)

10:30 - Measures to retain and enhance PROW network and connectivity during operational phase 

  • Including Enhancing access with permanent improvements, including new access, for ‘temporary schemes’ such as National Grid and solar projects

11 – 11:30 Break with refreshments

11:30 - Legal definitive map and practical issues that arise with delivery including Rights of Way and Access Plans

12:45 - Close
