South East Regional Development Day at The Centre for Outdoor Accessibility
Regional events are an opportunity to network with colleagues, discuss issues and to share practice and experience, this is not a training course so please be prepared to bring your own examples to contribute and raise your own points for discussion.
In the morning there will be an indoor session covering the following:
Issues affecting accessibility for different groups e.g., gender, ethnicity, disability.
Principles of the Equality Act & other legislation
Scenarios & delegate case study discussions
Communications with visitors
Introduction to British Standard BS5709:2018 Gaps, Gates & Stiles
The afternoon will be an opportunity to have a go:
BS5709:2018 Gaps, Gates & Stiles in practice & Experience of all-terrain mobility vehicles
A lunch will be provided along with tea and coffee.
Places are limited to 15 and bookings will close on Friday 25th March - if you are unable to attend after you have booked please let membership@iprow.co.uk know as soon as possible so that places may be given to those on a waiting list.
